c) humor/irony.  Humor is important in many editorial cartoons. Irony is one kind of humor. Irony takes place when the opposite of what you expect to happen occurs.  You expect the son to listen to his father’s admonition.  Instead, the father does the same thing he is chastising his son for (unable to pay attention as he watches TV).
