Ed Hamilton, 77, candidate for Kerr County treasurer in Texas.  Mr. Hamilton’s campaign pledge is: Elect me and I won’t serve. He says the job is redundant and its tasks should be assigned to another county office. Hamilton is running against incumbent Mindy Williams, who says the job shouldn’t be eliminated. She earns $46,000 a year.
