Other Than That, the Story Was Accurate
“An earlier version of this article misspelled the singer’s surname in a number of places. He is Bruce Springsteen, not Springstein.”–New York Times, Nov. 7

Out on a Limb
“Boehner: ‘As a Political Party, We’ve Got Some Work to Do’ “–headline, Yahoo! News, Nov. 9

Answers to Questions Nobody Is Asking
“[Condoleezza] Rice said she wouldn’t be interested in succeeding Hillary Rodham Clinton as Secretary of State, even if asked to do so by President Barack Obama.”–Huffington Post, Nov. 9

Famous Last Words
“Newsweek’s post-election cover depicts the president as Napoleon Bonaparte victorious after a battle, with the headline ‘The Obama Conquest,’ ” Mediaite.com reports. We guess the Newsweekers have never heard of Waterloo.

What we found most eye-catching about the cover, though, was a blurb at the top, for a piece by house conservative David Frum: “GOP: YOU’RE OLD, YOU’RE WHITE, YOU’RE HISTORY!”

Tu quoque, baby! Frum is old and white too, and it’s a safe bet Newsweek will be history before the Republican Party is.
