The First Rule of Snow: Keep Digging
The Philadelphia Eagles host the Minnesota Vikings tonight in the penultimate regular-season game for each team. Yes, it’s Tuesday. The game was originally scheduled for Sunday night but postponed on account of global warming, or as we like to call it, snow.

ESPN reports that [Democratic] “Pennsylvania Gov. Ed Rendell couldn’t be more upset about” the postponement:

Rendell viewed the NFL’s decision as a referendum on the toughness, or lack thereof, of the United States.

“My biggest beef is that this is part of what’s happened in this country,” Rendell said.

“We’ve become a nation of wusses. The Chinese are kicking our butt in everything,” he added. “If this was in China do you think the Chinese would have called off the game? People would have been marching down to the stadium, they would have walked and they would have been doing calculus on the way down.”

The good news is, we now know the answer to the age-old question: What would happen if [liberal] Thomas Friedman fathered a son by [conservative] Sharron Angle who grew up and went into politics?
