Morning After in America
“A federal judge in Brooklyn has ordered the Food and Drug Administration to make an over-the-counter ‘morning-after’ pill available to all females without a prescription,” reports the Star-Ledger of Newark, N.J. The judge, Edward Korman, held that the Department of Health and Human Services’ age limit of 17 “was ‘politically motivated’ and ‘scientifically unjustified.’ “

What caught our attention here was the Star-Ledger’s headline: ” ‘Morning-After’ Pill Approved for Females of All Ages Without Prescription, Federal Judge Rules.”

“Female of all ages,” it seems, is a euphemism for “children.”
