1. When announcing on Saturday that the U.S. had begun combat operations in Iran, President Trump said the objective for the attacks is to “defend the American people by eliminating imminent threats from the Iranian people / Iranian regime.”
2. After the June attack on Iran’s nuclear facilities, the U.S. warned the regime never to resume their pursuit of nuclear weapons. The Trump administration “sought repeatedly to make a deal” but the regime would not come to an agreement.
