The cartoon refers to the angry/violent reactions of some Muslims around the world to Pope Benedict's speech at a university in Germany last week. The Pope quoted a 14th century Byzantine Emperor who said when discussing Islam: "Show me just what Mohammed brought that was new, and there you will find things only evil and inhuman, such as his command to spread by the sword the faith he preached."
