Answers

1.  b) sarcastic/humorous

2.  The cartoonist uses:

b)  parody – A parody, in current use, is an imitative work created to mock, comment on or trivialize an original work, its subject, author, style, or some other target, by means of satiric or ironic imitation.  In this instance, the cartoonist uses the scene from the King Kong movie to mock Kim Jong Un’s unrealistic threats to the U.S. and South Korea.

d)  exaggeration –  He is exaggerating the ridiculousness of the videos North Korea has been broadcasting which threaten the U.S. and South Korea (The latest is a  photoshopped image of a North Korean troop landing drill).
