Answer

Michael Mukasey has been nominated by President Bush to replace Alberto Gonzales as Attorney General.  To actually become the new Attorney General, Mr. Mukasey must be confirmed by the Senate.  Since Democrats hold the majority of seats in Congress, Mr. Mukasey will likely face a lot of opposition.  President Bush did not even nominate his first choice for Attorney General when he was advised that Congressional opposition to him was so strong he probably wouldn't get confirmed.  Bob Lang portrays Mr. Mukasey as "shark bait" and Congress, the Press and special interest groups as sharks to give us an idea of what type of confirmation hearings Mr. Mukasey will face.
