The Final Throes
“The Islamic State is desperately lashing out in Europe because its base in the Middle East is rapidly eroding, Secretary of State John Kerry said on Friday in Brussels, where he traveled to demonstrate the United States’ support for Belgium three days after bombs killed 31 people, including at least two Americans.”—Sewell Chan, New York Times website, March 25

Sad!
From a press release dated yesterday:

A Monmouth University poll released Thursday finds that former New Mexico Governor and Libertarian presidential candidate Gary Johnson already enjoys support from 11% of voters in a three-way matchup with Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton, with the general election campaign still months away.

The poll found Johnson at 11%, with Trump garnering 34% and [Mrs.] Clinton 42%, with the two-term Governor appearing to draw support from both the Republican and the Democrat. In a two-way matchup, [Mrs.] Clinton leads Trump by 10%, with that lead dropping to 8% with Johnson included.

This is a shock: Johnson only gets 11% against such weak opposition? He should just drop out.
