Remember ‘the Adult in the Room’?
Barack Obama’s stale and jejune comic material–“”Slurpee,” “Romnesia,” “The 1980s called”–has been getting lots of attention of late, but blogger Howard Portnoy reminds us of a line from his Inaugural Address:

On this day, we come to proclaim an end to the petty grievances and false promises. . . . In the words of Scripture, the time has come to set aside childish things.’

This does make the campaign, and for that matter the whole presidency, look [ridiculous]. But we have to admit, we’d completely forgotten about Obama’s admonition to “set aside childish things.” Must be Stage 3 bamnesia.
